Daniel Szakats opened five exclusive residences with concierge service in the surfing paradise of Nosara in 2022. The Zurich native Daniel Szakats faced personal challenges in 2019. During this time, he discovered the surfing resort of Nosara as a winter retreat, but also as a place of refuge. This second home was the perfect place for him to recover and find new energy and inspiration. He wanted to make this transformative experience accessible to others and searched for both a suitable property and the perfect partner, which he found in the internationally award-winning local architecture firm Saxe, whose team was immediately enthusiastic about the project.
Pura Vida
Construction work on the five residences began in March 2021 and they opened in November 2022, just a short walk from the legendary sandy beach of Playa Guiones. By harmoniously integrating nature and architecture, the design blurs the boundaries between the lush vegetation and the modern residential complex without disturbing the peace and tranquillity of the jungle. The vegetation was used as a natural barrier against the intense sunlight and the buildings were strategically positioned along the property. This created a courtyard where wind, sunlight and plants work together to create privacy and a sense of seclusion.
Ultimate Privacy
The QUIN Surf Residences are named after the thousand-year-old Pachira Quinata tree, which stands in the central courtyard of the residential complex. This tree is the living heart of QUIN and gives the whole place magic and energy that every guest feels as soon as they enter.
Five stylish, modern residences are arranged around the tree and the courtyard. All have bedrooms with king-size beds and bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi and a washing machine with dryer:
Sunset Loft (78 square meters)
The loft for up to two people includes a private balcony with a view of the jungle and the sunset.
Jacuzzi Residence (77 square meters)
The studio offers space for up to two people and also has an outdoor jacuzzi on the covered terrace.
Sunset House (162 square meters)
The house offers space for four people on two floors and has two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and private balcony. The Sunset House also has a private pool.
Jungle House A (282 square meters) and B (279 square meters)
House A and B each offer space for up to six people and are spread over three floors. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, await guests there. Both also have a private pool in the garden. The spacious master bedroom also has a 60 square meter terrace with a view over the treetops of the jungle.
The renowned beaches are just a short walk away from the QUIN Surf Residences. Additionally, Nosara Airport is conveniently located nearby, accessible through charter and domestic flights from San Jose in just 35 minutes or from Liberia in just 15 minutes.
