From Friendship to Collaboration:Artist Ginny Litscher and local restaurateur Franco Napoli have teamed up to design the labels for the in-house wine collection of Don Leone. The result is a series of bottles bursting with playful creativity that instantly sparks curiosity about what’s inside.
Wine, Art, and Gastronomy – two worlds, one vision:
Zurich-based artist Ginny Litscher creates expressive paintings, while Italian restaurateur Franco Napoli shapes Zurich’s culinary scene with innovative concepts. What unites them is their shared passion for design and gastronomy.
Ginny Litscher is known for her intricate artwork, often transformed into textiles. Since founding her label in 2011, her award-winning silk scarves have been worn by stars like Lady Gaga and Keira Knightley. Her wallpaper designs can be found in prestigious hotels such as the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. She has also collaborated with top brands like Lalique and Maserati.
Franco Napoli runs several of Zurich’s most coveted dining spots – including Leo on the top floor of Globus on Bahnhofstrasse, the newly opened Bella Vista in Globus Bellevue, and the beloved Don Leone restaurants at Waffenplatz and Stauffacher.
A Curated Wine Collection:
This special collaboration was born from a close friendship: Ginny Litscher designed the labels for Don Leone’s signature wine collection. It features a Prosecco Rosé Brut, a Prosecco Extra Dry, a Bianco di Merlot Riserva, and five red wines from Tuscany, Piedmont, and Sicily. The collection is rounded out by a premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a Gin.
A recurring motif across the wine labels is the tiger – a symbol of strength and dominance in one’s own territory. Often depicted with humor, the tiger may be savoring wine or playfully wrestling over a bottle. This playful portrayal of human emotions through animals is a hallmark of Litscher’s artistic style, making each bottle a true eye-catcher.

The Prosecco Rosé and Prosecco Bianco are each priced at CHF 23.00. The Platinum Piemont is CHF 54.00, Bolgheri Riserva Superiore CHF 58.00, and Terre Siciliane CHF 59.00. The two Merlots are available for CHF 52.00 (white) and CHF 60.00 respectively. The olive oil is CHF 35.00, and the gin is priced at CHF 49.00.
