The landmark continues to be ranked the number one attraction in the Middle East, reaffirming its status as a leading cultural and religious destination.
Global Recognition and Cultural Significance
Based on reviews from over eight million travelers worldwide, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque ranks within the top 1% of global landmarks, highlighting its cultural, architectural, and spiritual significance.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Fujairah has also achieved a milestone, now listed among the top 10% of attractions globally, gaining rapid recognition since opening its visitor services.

Dr. Yousif Al Obaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre (SZGMC), credited the achievement to the UAE’s visionary leadership and the centre’s strategic focus on enhancing guest experiences.
“This global recognition reflects our commitment to cultural excellence, world-class facilities, and empowering Emirati youth to host and guide visitors,” said Dr. Al Obaidli.
The mosque’s offerings include guided cultural tours, electric car ‘Unseen Glimpses’ rides, and 24-hour visiting access, alongside exhibitions like Diya – A Universe of Light, which narrates the mosque’s message of peace and unity.
